PET high temperature tape is built from dimensionally stable polyester film coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive. The green film makes placement and removal easy to see on metal, PCB, glass and composite surfaces during short heat exposure processes.
Compared with polyimide tape, PET tape is typically chosen when the process temperature is lower, the masking area is larger, and the project needs a more cost-efficient high-temperature tape. It is well suited for powder coating plugs and edges, PCB wave-solder masking, electrical insulation layers and temporary process protection.
